Description:

Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) has postponed all in-person BPDA-held public meetings regarding Article 80 development projects and planning initiatives. View more information on the BPDA's COVID-19 response.

Impact Advisory Group (IAG) meeting in connection with the proposed Bunker Hill Housing Redevelopment project in Charlestown. This will be the third IAG meeting held following the submission of the Draft Project Impact Report (DPIR) by Bunker Hill Redevelopment Company LLC (the "Proponent") to the BPDA on February 18, 2020.

The proposed project as described in the DPIR consists of the phased redevelopment of the existing Boston Housing Authority (BHA) owned Bunker Hill Public Housing Development in Charlestown. The proposal includes the phased demolition of the existing approximately 1,110 public housing units and the construction of 2,699 mixed-income housing units, approximately 73,000 square feet of retail and civic space, new public open space, new on and off-street vehicle parking accommodations, and public realm improvements.

This meeting is open to members of the general public, however, please note that the purpose of this meeting is different than that of a traditional community meeting. As part of the development review process, IAG members work closely with BPDA staff to identify the impacts of a project and recommend appropriate community benefits to offset those impacts. IAG meetings prioritize discussion between the project proponent (i.e. the developer) and IAG members.

Simultaneous Spanish interpretation service will be provided during the meeting.
