Description:

In anticipation of development in the Stuart Street corridor, the Boston Redevelopment Authority initiated the Stuart Street Planning Study in 2008. The multi-year planning process led to a set of Draft Development Review Guidelines, which were released in the Winter of 2010. The BRA, along with the Stuart Street Advisory Group and the community, examined potential mixed-use development scenarios and their impacts. The guidelines that were developed based on this analysis identified increased height, density, and use recommendations, along with performance standards and public benefits that corresponded to different build-out options.

The BRA is now looking to adopt the recommended development review guidelines and codify them into zoning. At this meeting, BRA Planning Department staff will present the proposed development review guidelines and outline the zoning process that lies ahead. The guidelines being presented on September 21, 2015 will be the same as what was presented at the last Stuart Street Advisory Group meeting on January 6, 2011.
